The model is subjected to experiments to obtain predictive information useful in making informed decision making about the characteristics of the real system. Simulations are suitable for problems in which there are no closed-form analytical solutions. Since most dynamic problems in practice can not be represented and solved fully using mathematical equations, computer simulation is a powerful and flexible methodology in complex systems analysis.
