Between August and July I had the experience and opportuniy to participate in an internship program at the University of Ghent, in Belgium. With support of the ABIPE partner of IAESTE, I had the most incredible experience of my life. Among the most diverse places, I had the happiness of going to Belgium, a country that it enchants for it's rich culture, social organization and sustainable development. At the university I worked with the technology that uses plasma as the main tool of pollution control.
Development based on sustainability was present in both research and social life. The academic community along the city encourages the use of bicycles for transportation, reducing living costs and simulating healthy practices. Belgium has 3 official languages: French, German and Dutch. This diversity of languages is due to the fact that the country is surrounded by France, Germany and The Netherlands. Having so many cultural influences makes Belgium an unique and wonderful country.
